I’m trying to discover how to grow taller. It’s a “tall order,” believe me. There’s so much hype out there on the web. Statements like, “grow as much as 6 inches in 6 months or double your money back,” just seem too fantastic to be believed. Is any of this for real?
I’ve grown so leery of these websites trying to convince me to part with my hard-earned money for the promise of something that almost always sounds too good to be true. Headlines like “DESPERATE FOR HEIGHT?”… “SIZE REALLY DOES MATTER”… and, “NEVER FEEL INSECURE ABOUT YOUR HEIGHT AGAIN”… are catchy enough, but mostly serve just to make me feel worse about me being vertically challenged. I guess their purpose is to give me hope, to prime the pump, so to speak. One site I just looked at states, “In the long run studies show that every additional inch of height increases your chances for financial success as well as relationships with the opposite sex!” Well, that sounds great! If I try this program I’ll be richer AND sexier. But how do I know if it works? Aren’t all of these 20+ page program/product advertisements just a modern, high-tech version of the old snake-oil salesman’s patter?
Fortunately, there are some sites about growing taller that are more informational than hype. I even found a site designed to debunk the scams abounding regarding the “grow taller” industry. Included were testimonials from some who had tried these programs/products without success. By the way, those customers found it virtually impossible to collect their “money-back” guarantees. A new tactic of some of these scam companies seems to be to just avoid sending any materials to the customer at all. They just take the order, take the money and run. Buyers beware!
Here’s the good news. Growing taller after passing puberty actually DOES seem possible and there are some documented successes that can also be found. There’s a particular support group for short persons out there that has compiled an impressive amount of data detailing what works and what doesn’t work and their information looks both unbiased and credible. And they’re not selling anything, either (yes, they DO accept donations!). The point is this. If your desire is to grow taller it CAN be done, but there is no magic bullet and what works for one person may not necessarily work for another. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Grow wisely!
