<p>Height is important to most everyone.&nbsp;&nbsp; Some people aren&#039;t satisfied even if they have what may seem to others to be enough height.&nbsp; They still want more.&nbsp; Some tall people look down on and treat differently those who are smaller than them.&nbsp; They can be unkind to short people. </p>
<p>Short people sometimes get their feelings hurt by this behavior.&nbsp; They may often feel self-conscious, unlucky, discouraged, worried about failing and upset about their height. And they have one big question in their minds&hellip; Why I am so short?&nbsp; Why I am not tall like them?&nbsp; It makes them feel totally alienated when other people say unkind things and treat them with less respect than they feel they deserve.</p>
<p>Because of this most short people are conscious about their height.&nbsp; They want to find a solution for how to be tall.&nbsp; Some think that if both of their parents are short, maybe the children will be tall.&nbsp; Or, if the father is tall but the mother is short, the children will be average in height.&nbsp; But, in my estimation, according to what I&#039;ve read about how our body growth works, it&#039;s not true but just erroneous beliefs. </p>
<p>Our body needs proper methods in order to maintain health and stay in good physical shape.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s best to enhance your physical growth when you are younger.&nbsp; However, even if you&#039;re already grown, there are still many ways available that will help you achieve the height you desire.</p>
<p>Many people are finding solutions to becoming taller because they are not satisfied with their height.&nbsp; There are many advertisements saying that their products can help you grow taller.&nbsp; However, some of these are just scams. Various medicines are available to stimulate body growth but these are not the preferred method to help people grow.</p>
<p> Here&rsquo;s the best way, to attain your goal of getting taller. Start with a proper diet, high in foods containing calcium and protein.&nbsp; Swimming is good exercise for stretching out your body.&nbsp; Running with ankle weights also helps to increase your height.&nbsp; Take care to get enough sleep.&nbsp; Drink plenty of water and lots of milk.&nbsp; Zinc is necessary to a taller body because it stimulates the production of human growth hormone, which your body naturally produces in various amounts.&nbsp; You want it to produce more.</p>
<p>Looking at online sites and reading books are good ways to increase your knowledge base. You will find and learn a lot of good things.&nbsp; If you really want to get taller make it your priority.&nbsp; Don&rsquo;t waste time!&nbsp; If you really want it you can get it.</p>

<p>I had a friend who was so obsessed about his height that every time we talked he would always include the topic about being tall and ask the question, &#8220;Why am I too small&#8221;?&nbsp; And he was always telling me that he envied me of my height.&nbsp; It started to irritate me after a while and, because of that, I urged him to search for stuff that can make a person tall.&nbsp; </p>
<p>As my research went on I&rsquo;ve really learned a lot and the most interesting information is that about 80% of our height is due to genetics, and about 20% is due to other factors.&nbsp; For me it was one of the highlights of my research.&nbsp; It seemed like I had found gold in the garbage can.&nbsp; I&rsquo;m so happy that it keeps me on searching about that 20% factor in a person&rsquo;s height. </p>
<p> I wanted to help my friend, but as the research went on the excitement of my heart suddenly stopped.&nbsp; You know why? Because I&rsquo;ve found interesting information, but being interesting doesn&rsquo;t mean that it&rsquo;s good.&nbsp; This was about the fact that the age at which we stop growing fluctuates substantially.&nbsp; Girls almost always stop growing earlier than boys, on average 3 &#8211; 4 years earlier, which happens anywhere between ages of 14 and 21.&nbsp; Boys stop growing anywhere between the ages of 17 and 25. </p>
<p>Though knowing about this was good, it was still sad because my friend is already at the age 19 and he&#039;s still too short.&nbsp; But that information didn&rsquo;t cause me to stop looking for good answers.</p>
<p> As I continued my research I found another treasure again and this time it&rsquo;s not gold anymore&hellip; it&rsquo;s platinum.&nbsp; The information told me that there are still ways become tall, even after puberty.&nbsp; So, without wasting time I started researching more on how and what to do to gain height after puberty.&nbsp; Here are some of the things I found:&nbsp; </p>
<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain a good diet<br />2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Do regular exercise.&nbsp; Swimming, raising your seat while cycling, playing sports like basketball (or any sport that involves jumping), hanging off a bar while wearing ankle weights, sprinting, jumping rope and performing kicks<br />3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sleeping up to 8-10 hours a day, and, <br />4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Having correct posture.&nbsp; </p>
<p>But these ideas cannot be useful without self-discipline because if we don&#039;t focus on this we&#039;ll get discouraged in fulfilling our aim to become taller. So let&#039;s discipline ourselves because that is one of the most important keys to success.&nbsp; </p>

<p>Most people are concerned about their height, especially those people who are not lucky enough to be tall.&nbsp; They are anxious to find out ways to get taller and increase their height.&nbsp; Some have tried wearing walk tall shoes, high heels and lots of other fashion techniques just to make them feel tall and satisfied. </p>
<p>As I observed when I was younger, parents always told their children to get enough sleep so that the will get tall, grow fast and be healthy.&nbsp; I used to say, &#8220;Oh really?&#8221;&nbsp; I thought it was just a trick or that they only wanted to have some quiet time.&nbsp; Every time my Mother wanted me to go to sleep I would run away because, I thought it was funny and not true.&nbsp; I didn&#039;t believe what they said.&nbsp;&nbsp; In my mind they just wanted to take a break.</p>
<p>But, when I grew up, at about age 18, I realized that I wasn&#039;t as tall as I had expected to be.&nbsp; I realized that I am one of those who need to wear walk tall shoes or high heels.&nbsp; I felt disappointed and I tried some medicines that would supposedly increase my height.&nbsp; I looked up some online sites and read some books on how to get taller.&nbsp; I finally realized that our body is determined by a complex combination of genetics and environment.</p>
<p>Our body is genetically programmed to stop growing after the completion of puberty.&nbsp; The complex interplay of genes, hormones and nutrients reach its climax at this time. Once genes orchestrate the growth and development of the body to the point that it can reproduce, the purpose for growth is complete.&nbsp; Usually it happens at the average age of 18-21 for boys and 16-18 for girls.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Here&#039;s the good news.&nbsp; There are ways to get taller after puberty.&nbsp; The best way to help increase your height is to have a proper, nutritious diet including fruits, dairy, meat and plenty of water.&nbsp; And having enough sleep is vital for the growth hormones to perform their function effectively.&nbsp;&nbsp; Self-discipline, exercise, and proper breathing will help to increase your height, too.&nbsp; I&rsquo;ve found that taking medicines or having surgeries aren&rsquo;t the best ideas if you want to grow taller. </p>
<p>Being tall is a great body figure and big achievement in life.&nbsp; Those who are self-conscious about their height and want to do something about it have numerous resources available, especially on the Internet.&nbsp; Look into it.&nbsp; Find a way that works for you.&nbsp; Don&#039;t give up.</p>

<p>Statistically, of all the countries in the world the Dutch, or people from the Netherlands (Holland) are the tallest.&nbsp; The average Dutch adult, according to the statistics, is six foot one inch tall, although they don&#039;t measure in inches and feet there.&nbsp; That translates out to 1.85 meters.</p>
<p>Next in line are those from Denmark, the Danes.&nbsp; They average six feet (1.83 meters) for an adult, just slightly less than their Dutch neighbors.&nbsp; Third are people living in the U.S.A., who average an adult height of five foot ten (1.78 meters).&nbsp; Americans DO still measure in feet and inches, so I guess I didn&#039;t need to do the conversion there.</p>
<p>Now, here&#039;s the surprise.&nbsp; The U.S. used to have the tallest people on average, while a hundred years ago the Dutch were much smaller than they are today.&nbsp; Supposedly during World War I, a full twenty-five percent of Dutch men who tried to enlist in the military were rejected for being too short.&nbsp; The height limit was 5&#039;2&#8243; (1.57 meters).&nbsp; </p>
<p>There are a couple of reasons for this change in stature.&nbsp; Genetics, of course plays a part in the equation, but the genetics in the Hollanders hasn&#039;t really changed significantly in the past hundred years.&nbsp; Experts who have studied the height statistics offer this.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Back in the early 1900&#039;s Holland had some problems.&nbsp; Poor nutrition and long years of bad crop production seriously affected the population while the same time in the U.S. were boom years.&nbsp; The Dutch have come a long way with their emphasis on child health care but, perhaps even more importantly, they are known to consume a diet high in dairy products (bone-building calcium) and protein. </p>
<p>Americans have gone the other way, not only with diet but also with an influx of immigrants who come from countries where the adults are typically smaller in stature.</p>
<p>I hope you&#039;ve found this information interesting, but perhaps you&#039;re wondering what it has to do with you, and how can you become taller.&nbsp; There are lots of things you can do to help realize your growth potential, including sleep habits, exercise regimens and supplements.&nbsp; But diet is key.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Make sure you consume lots of calcium-rich foods.&nbsp; One way to do this is to drink lots of milk.&nbsp; This is especially important when you&#039;re doing growth exercises.&nbsp; The calcium will strengthen your bones.&nbsp; According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, &#8220;The average dietary intake of calcium by children and adolescents is well below the recommended levels of adequate intake.&#8221;&nbsp; So remember, lots of milk, cheese and yogurt.&nbsp; Have a milkshake with an egg, that way you&#039;ll be getting the protein you need too.&nbsp; And it&#039;s tasty!</p>

<p>We&#039;ve all heard that you are what you eat, right?&nbsp; I&#039;ve always found exception to that adage, preferring this one.&nbsp; You are what you THINK ABOUT what you eat.&nbsp; In other words, state of mind plays a very important role in diet, health and just about everything else in life.</p>
<p>If you&#039;re looking for ways to increase your height&hellip; to grow your stature, there are lots of things you can do to help.&nbsp; There are exercises specifically designed to increase a person&#039;s height.&nbsp; There are supplements that also stimulate growth by activating certain processes in the body, such as production of growth hormone.&nbsp; There are surgeries, but I don&#039;t recommend this route except in very rare instances.&nbsp; There is proper posture and proper attitude.</p>
<p>You can, perhaps, find help through hypnosis, meditation, visualization or the power of positive thinking.&nbsp; Maybe so, maybe no.&nbsp; </p>
<p>And then there&#039;s diet.&nbsp; A person&#039;s diet certainly plays a big part in his or her well-being and health, but it can also be of paramount importance in your quest for increased height as well.</p>
<p>Remember when mom insisted that you drink your milk and said that it would help you to become big and strong?&nbsp; Well, it&#039;s a true story.&nbsp; Milk, which, as we all know is rich in calcium, is critical in developing strong bones which are, after all made of calcium themselves.&nbsp; If you&#039;re trying to add height, you should drink at least three or four glasses of milk each day.&nbsp; And this is as a minimum.&nbsp; You could consume even more.</p>
<p>You should also try to consume foods rich in Vitamins A and D.&nbsp; This includes fish, fish oil, eggs, red peppers and other things too.&nbsp; I won&#039;t go through the whole list.&nbsp; This information about foods high in Vitamins A and D is easy enough to find.</p>
<p>Also, certain minerals will aid in growing taller, particularly zinc, since it is able to stimulate increased production of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) which the body produces naturally and is essential to reaching your true growth potential. </p>
<p> Synthetic HGH is marketed widely online and in vitamin shops but there&#039;s a question as to whether the imitation hormone is anywhere nearly as effective as the real thing, which your body already makes naturally.&nbsp; The point is, certain foods will help increase the amount of HGH your body produces.&nbsp; These foods, to name a few, include:&nbsp; oysters, beans, nuts and seeds, chicken and liver.&nbsp; Bon apetit!&nbsp; Hope this helps</p>
